The Go FFA Program was established to provide students the opportunity to learn about agriculture in other states and countries. The first unofficial Go FFA travel experience took place in the summer of 2009 when a small group traveled to New York as exchange students to discover the empire state's agriculture industry. Munford FFA Students stayed with Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central FFA students for four days, each having a different experience. Students worked with dairies, maple production, wind turbine power, and other interesting aspects of the area. The group traveled to seven states in eight days and was able to see a large part of our country. The first official Go FFA journey will be to Costa Rica. All travel plans and arrangements are made with EF Tours by our certified Group Leader, Mrs. Ashley Bringle. Students will get the opportunity to visit National Parks, a banana plantation, see the famous Arenal Volcano, enjoy a boat ride down the Tortuguero canals, white water rafting, and even a zip lining canopy tour. We hope to truly live up to our motto of "Putting the Culture in Agriculture." Our plan is to rotate our travel plans between trips within our country and internationally each year. We will make announcements at the beginning of the school year to inform members of their travel opportunities. We look forward to SHOWING YOU THE WORLD!
