To develop premier leadership and personal growth to strengthen landscape skills.

Instruction Sequence: Students will be introduced to the classes and given a copy of the classroom policies. Students will also participate in the annual FFA RUSH WEEK. This activity is where students will travel to each classroom and learn about a different area of the FFA to get involved. Classroom themes are Go FFA, Leadership, Instructional, SAE, and Games. In the Go FFA room students will learn about the travel opportunities available to them. We will present on our recent Go FFA trip to Costa Rica this past summer, as well as introduce the new Southwestern United States Tour in 2013 and Go FFA Costa Rica in 2014. The Leadership room will show students how to become a leader in the FFA by explaining criteria of becoming a house or senate member, chapter officer, or regional officer. Students will also learn what they must do to attend such events as State and National FFA Convention. The Instructional room will showcase all of the Career Development Events a student has the opportunity to participate throughout the year and give them a chance to sign up early. The SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience Program) will explain to students how to get involved exhibiting livestock and filling out proficiecies. The Games room is only designed for the student that has multiple classes and has been through the RUSH WEEK rotation. There they will compete in team building and leadership based games to further enhance their premier leadership and personal growth.
